I recently signed on with IRMAA Navigator even though I had previously received the IRMAA Certification Designation with another company. While I won’t name the other company, they will likely come up first in a Google search if an insurance agent is doing one to learn more about the designation and program. Sadly, while they may be fine for obtaining the designation, they really offer no real meaningful help after that. As an insurance agent you want to have a program in place to take advantage of the new IRMAA title so it can help you to attain new business. You don’t want to try to figure it out on your own. You need a marketing program, a pre-done presentation that the average person can understand and the software to determine if your client will be subject to IRMMA in the future and if so, what he or she needs to do to at least minimize it or hopefully, avoid it.
